CharlieTheTraveler’s itinerary is quite extensive. It is obvious the company does not want its customers to miss any important destinations and attractions. CharlieTheTraveler is very easy to reach, making their personal concierges, booking agents, tour guides and even the Founder himself all available to you if you are in need of anything. CharlieTheTraveler puts its heart into its services and prioritizes safety and trust above all else. The prices are quite reasonable, especially considering they sell first-class experiences and the hotels they use are almost all 5-star (or 4-star in areas where 5-star hotels do not exist). They basically do all the thinking for you, providing all the tour guides and ground transportation. Their tours are set up in a way in which you do not need to arrange anything yourself but rather just have fun. CharlieTheTraveler deserves all the business it gets from travelers from all around the world.

I was initially intrigued by CharlieTheTraveler trips that had beach excursions, as I love the beach. However, after reading how many beaches we were visiting in South Brazil and all of the other activities we were still able to do, I knew that was the trip for me! The tour did not disappoint in providing beach trips and even more! I enjoyed going on the boat tour of Buzios, as the water was immaculate, and it was such a great way to tour the country!

My husband and I highly recommend Charlie the Traveler. We decided to honeymoon in Belize and we booked our 10 day trip through Tour Radar. Charlie called me after we booked and we talked for about 30 minutes about Belize and all the things to do. Evelyn (with Charlie the Traveler) sent us our itinerary 2 weeks before our trip and it was jam packed with adventures: cave tubing, cave canoeing, snorkeling, visiting the Mayan ruins including a massive cave adventure, the zoo, and more. Our tour guide in country, Valentin, was incredibly knowledgeable, punctual, professional, and funny. We felt very safe and taken care of. Evelyn remained available if we needed anything during the trip. We would use Charlie the Traveler again for another trip!

        Our Tour Package Itinerary

Day 1: Gigantic Waterfalls Splitting 2 Countries

Our tour begins in the city of Foz do Iguaçu. Its waterfalls, called Iguazu Falls, literally separate Brazil from its neighbor Argentina. The falls are shared by the Iguazu National Park (Argentina) and Iguaçu National Park (Brazil). The two parks were designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1984 and 1987, respectively. What's more, Iguazu is the largest waterfall system in the world. Although the falls are indeed the main draw, the city itself carries its own weight. More specifically, Foz features great nightlife in the downtown area: bands, drinks and people who have a God-given talent to dance so passionately.

Day 2: An Aerial View of the Falls, the Devil’s Throat & Confronting the Falls by Boat

Today we make a daytrip to the Argentinean side of the falls. Upon arrival, we take a tourist train to the ‘Devil’s Throat’ circuit. There we are provided with a guided tour of both the upper and lower circuits. We later get wet as we take a boat out to some of the falls. We save the best for last. The day ends with a helicopter ride over the falls.

Day 3: An Animal Kingdom & a Rainbow Stretching Across the Falls

Before relocating by flight to the city of Florianopolis, we explore the Iguazu area some more. The morning starts with a guided visit to the Brazilian side of the falls. Hopefully we see the rainbow which stretches across the falls. In the afternoon, we head to a natural bird park called Parque Das Aves. Creatures commonly seen there include butterflies, monkeys, toucans, parrots and yellow-breasted caimans.

Day 4: Lagoons, Latin Flare, European Influence & Great Nightlife

Home to fancy resorts, charming hotels, beach clubs and a lively nightlife scene (specifically at Conceição Lagoon), it should come as no surprise that Santa Catarina is South Brazil’s most visited island. Using its capital Florianopolis as our base, the attractions for this morning and early afternoon are Campeche Central Beach, Morro das Pedras viewpoint, Caldeirão Beach, Peri Lagoon, Armação Beach, Matadeiro Beach, the bridge walk to the island of Ilha das Campanhas, a historic village called Ribeirão da Ilha, sand dunes called Dunas of Joaquina, Joaquina Beach, Praia Mole Beach, a channel called Barra da Lagoa and the adjacent beach, a viewpoint called Ahaus (a.k.a. Belvedere), Conceição Lagoon, a viewpoint near Conceição Lagoon and the viewpoint at Morro da Cruz Park.

Day 5: Glimmering Beaches, Beach Clubs & Historic Villages

Today we cover the other half of Santa Catarina Island: a bridge called Ponte Hercílio Luz, downtown Florianopolis (street art, the cathedral, the Florianopolis Museum, a palace called Cruz e Sousa and the public market), the viewpoint at Cacupé Beach (not for swimming), a historic village called Santo Antônio de Lisboa, São José da Ponta Grossa Fortress, Praia do Forte Beach, 2 beaches and 1 beach club in the town of Jurerê, Canasjure Beach and Canasvieiras Beach.

Day 6: A Colonial Gem of a Town

This morning we relocate by flight from Florianopolis to the city of Belo Horizonte. From the airport, we are taken to the colonial town of Mariana. There we are provided with a guided tour. Mariana is the oldest town in the state of Minas Gerais. It was founded on July 16, 1696. Mariana retains the characteristics of a baroque town, with its churches, historic buildings and museums. After our tour, we are taken to the colonial town of Ouro Preto. This is where we sleep this evening.

Day 7: Picturesque Architecture & Cobblestone Streets

Before returning to Belo Horizonte so we can fly out to the city of Rio de Janeiro, we explore Ouro Preto in depth with our tour guide. This former colony owes to the riches that were once extracted from below it. Now a focal point of arts and education, Ouro Preto was once an important center for mining and government. Fortunately, its history has left it with attractive baroque buildings and lasting ambiance. Although this steep town’s sites are a bit spread out and are otherwise church-centric (23 churches to be exact), there’s something to be said about Ouro Preto being one of Brazil’s most visited urban destinations. The narrow and stone-paved streets generally and the spectacular panorama views of fine architecture especially are enough reasons to come here. Ouro Preto is one of the most authentic Portuguese town settlements in not only the state of Minas Gerais but in all of Brazil.

Day 8: South America's Most Famous City

Today we are provided with a guided tour of what is undoubtedly Brazil’s showcase destination…and rightfully so. Called the cidade maravilhosa (marvelous city), Rio de Janeiro is renowned for its spectacular mountainous setting, stunning scenery, a tropical rainforest, exotic white-sand beaches complimented by clear waters, water sports activities, plenty of fascinating colonial architecture, chic and carefree people, festive music and an almost overwhelming nightlife scene. Spend your mornings sightseeing, afternoons tanning and evenings partying in the Lapa district, where street bands are performing to locals who love to sing and celebrate seemingly as no other culture can. The Pedra do Sal district is also buzzing with nightlife. As a famous song goes, Rio is a city ‘where music and passion are always in fashion’. Incidentally, lunch is included on today’s tour.

Day 9: The Fashionable Hotspot Where People Style & Profile

As a daytrip from Rio de Janeiro, firstly we are taken to a beach town called Cabo Frio. There we see the beaches of Praia do Forte, Praia das Conchas and Praia do Peró. We later head to the beach town of Arraial do Cabo, specifically to its dock. We are taken on a boat which visits the beaches of Praia do Forno, Pontal do Atalaia and Praia Grande.

Once the boat tour has finished, we are taken to a beach called Praia dos Anjos, specifically to its lookout point. The views from there are spectacular. Before heading to our final destination for today, a resort town called Buzios, a stop is made along the road so we can get a good view of a beach called Prainha.

Upon arrival in Buzios, we are provided with both a driving and walking tour of the area. The shops and restaurants are indeed the highlights. Buzios is the place in Brazil to ‘see and be seen’, with its fashionable scene and good-looking people. We return to Rio de Janeiro in the late evening.

Day 10: The So-Called 'Green Coastline'

As another daytrip from Rio de Janeiro, we are taken along Costa Verde (meaning the ‘Green Coast’). The beaches and islands along the way are quite exotic. Today’s highlights are the islands surrounding a municipality called Angra dos Reis and an island called Ilha Grande. Lunch, a boat ride and snorkeling are included on today’s tour.

Day 11: Our Tour Ends Today

Transportation will be arranged for you to reach the airport in Rio de Janeiro.

I was excited to get away for a few weeks, but I had no time to plan anything. I looked into group tours and had found CharlieTheTraveler tours seemed to have everything I was looking for in a trip—cultural and adventurous activities, great food, and a knowledgeable tour guide. The trip to South Brazil was no exception. Every moment of the trip had something planned, which meant I was never stuck waiting for the next activity to begin or trying to figure out how to fill in time. My favorite part of the trip was getting on a helicopter to ride over the Iguazu Falls. The views were breathtaking and unforgettable!

I love adventure, so I was drawn to the itinerary of CharlieTheTraveler’s South Brazil for multiple reasons. This trip not only included adventurous activities such as horseback riding, but it also included many guided tours of different parts of South Brazil. I was able to see a variety of sights in different parts of the country, which was very adventurous for me!

I found the South Brazil trip planned by this company included a good balance of nature and culture. I found myself immersed in a culture I knew little about beforehand and I was able to experience the most beautiful natural sites. I really enjoyed exploring through Pantanal. I had never seen wildlife quite like this, as I grew up in a city. It was an excellent treat to observe animals in their natural habitats!

South American culture has always interested me. I have been to South America a few times on a few group tours, but nothing has compared to my trip with CharlieTheTraveler. I booked the South Brazil trip, as it promised cultural excursions that interested me. The company did an excellent job organizing the trip. Although I booked the trip for the cultural aspects, what really amazed me were the natural wonders we were brought to. I will never forget going to Hito Tres Fronteras. It was an amazing view of the three countries. I was overall very impressed with everything this trip offered me.

For my vacation this year, I wanted to go to a placed that I had never been to or heard much about, as I wanted to experience something new. I had no idea South Brazil had so much to offer for a vacation until I was reading CharlieTheTraveler’s itinerary for the trip. I don’t think any vacation I ever plan will compare to the experience I had with this company. They planned everything out for me, and even when things were left up for me to do (plan meals, explore on my own), the tour guide was quick with suggestions. The place I loved getting time to explore was Santa Catarina as it had everything I wanted, beaches and nightlife especially!

I was planning a trip for my friends and me. It was an easy decision to book through CharlieTheTraveler, as I had taken a trip through them before with my family. The South Brazil trip seemed perfect for us! I personally loved the trip for the beaches, as we were given sufficient time to explore and relax on the beaches we visited. My favorite beaches were on Santa Catarina, as the island was beautiful! I am very glad this company took me on another great trip!

My trip to South Brazil through CharlieTheTraveler will go down in the books as my best trip ever! I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tours, and I found that even though there were guided tours, we also got plenty of time to explore on our own. I found this was the big difference between this company and other touring companies, as the amount of time spent in each location was perfect to allow us to receive the guided tour and spend time on our own. I was never bored, but I also never felt rushed from place to place which I have felt with other companies. This was especially the case with the trip to Pantanal Matogrossense National Park, as I had the whole night to explore the park!

I am interested in any unique experiences I can get, so the natural beauty that was highlighted in CharlieTheTraveler’s South Brazil trip was perfect for me. I was brought on many unique excursions and experienced nature like I had never done before – a helicopter ride, horseback riding, and, my personal favorite, staying the night in a national park. This company doesn’t just bring you around on tours, but actually has you experience the culture and nature of the country. For me, it was worth every penny!

I learned about the rich culture of Brazil while in college and I made it a goal of mine to visit. The right time to do so came when I was researching trips and found that CharlieTheTraveler offered a trip that highlighted the rich culture of the country in their South Brazil trip. Touring Mariana was everything I dreamt of! I found the tour guide very knowledgeable of the area and that aspect helped me to feel immersed.

Brazil has such an interesting history and I am glad to have learned as much as I did on my trip to South Brazil. CharlieTheTraveler had provided excellent tour guides that were really passionate about tourism. I felt appreciated as a tourist, which I had never felt before when visiting other countries. This made me appreciate the culture and history of the country even more and made me want to learn more. I loved seeing all of the architecture in Ouro Preto and learning the history behind the town. This trip was truly an experience of a lifetime!

I am usually an active person and my vacations can be no exception! I love hiking, swimming, and the like. A friend of mine recommended CharlieTheTraveler tours as they tend to be very active. I booked South Brazil because the list of activities was interesting, but I had no idea I would have so much fun! There were many active excursions, including my favorite, which was snorkeling. Costa Verde was beautiful and the perfect place for the company to bring us! I am excited to book my next trip through this touring company.

CharlieTheTraveler was very thorough in their planning of my trip to South Brazil. They appropriately prepared me for the trip and I was accompanied the entire time. There was no moment of me being lost of not knowing what was going to come next, as the tour was laid out for me ahead of time. Even after the tour was completed and I had decided to stay a few extra days in Rio de Janeiro, the tour guide and the company provided me with recommendations of places to see, restaurants to eat at, and activities to do. This was an excellent company to do a tour with!

I appreciated that all of South Brazil’s natural beauties and wonders were showcased in CharlieTheTraveler’s tour of the area. I’ve only seen these sights in pictures which did not compare at all to seeing them in person. The one sight I will always remember is Iguazu Falls. The huge waterfalls were picturesque! The company-provided tour guide did an excellent job giving us a guided tour, but then also allowing me to explore on my own and taking a moment to take it all in.

When I booked my trip to South Brazil through CharlieTheTraveler, I knew I was in good hands. They had all positive reviews online and seemed to be very organized. The company made sure I was prepared for the trip before leaving, which was a relief. The trip was stress-free and I actually relaxed, which does not usually happen on trips for me. The daytrips observing wildlife were the best for me, especially when I toured the Iguazu Falls.

The South Brazil trip organized by CharlieTheTraveler proved to be very worth the price. The trip includes a variety of activities which was great for me, as I get bored easily. I enjoyed touring the Iguazu National Park on the Argentina side, as it is a whole other experience. It was interesting to see the two different sides of the national park. The company provided an excellent tour guide who got to know me, which made me feel a lot more comfortable on the two-week long trip!

My trip to South Brazil was awesome! The meals provided by the company were delicious and authentic, which added to the experience. The activities were perfectly planned. My tour guide was a great guide around the area. I could go on and on about all of the great aspects of the trip! Even when we couldn’t go to Campeche Island due to bad weather, the company had a secondary plan which I can only assume was just as good as the original plan. Ribeirao da Ilha is a beautiful beach I enjoyed spending the day on!

CharlieTheTraveler almost seemed too good to be true, but I can vouch this company provides excellent services. I took their trip to South Brazil and the company surpassed my expectations. They planned everything out for me, including accommodations upon my request. During free time when I was able to explore on my own, my tour guide offered excellent accommodations to have the best experience in each location we were in. I think my favorite part of the trip was the horseback riding activity, as it was a very unique way to explore the area.

It was evident from the moment I booked that my enjoyment and my safety were two very important focal points of the company’s objectives. Every day trip and every activity I took was for my enjoyment and the company made sure I felt safe everywhere I was brought. I enjoyed the quaintness of Mariana and how much culture and history lied in the town. I would never have learned so much if I had organized this trip on my own, which makes the price for the tour worth it!

I am writing this review as I look through all of the pictures I took of the beautiful natural landscapes in South Brazil. CharlieTheTraveler included so many picturesque sights, including Hito Tres Fronteras, the beaches on Santa Catarina, and the Iguazu Falls. However, the best experiences of the trip were not able to be captured in pictures. The tours immersed me in the Brazilian culture. The authentic town of Ouro Preto offered a great experience. I appreciated that the company allowed me time to be immersed in the culture on my own.

        Frequently Asked Questions

        Can We Customize This Tour?

We are open to customizing this tour to your liking, even though the itinerary we recommend is rock solid. As our tour is currently advertised, you absolutely will not find another one out there as packed with activities and attractions. What’s more, you will not find another tour out there that offers it all "FIRST CLASS," yet for a relatively low price. We have thousands of travelers taking this specific tour every year, and that's because no competitor can beat us on quality, price & substance.

Is Travel Insurance Required & Included?

All participants are required to book travel insurance within 72 hours of booking this tour. At a minimum, such insurance must cover cancellations, medical expenses, evacuations, flight loss or delays and 24/7 assistance.

How Much Does This Tour Cost & Is Financing Offered?

A 4-installment payment plan is available, often with 0 percent interest to those with at least decent credit. Ask us for details. Our luxury-oriented and itinerary-packed “South Brazil in 11 Days” tour is available for $3,278 USD per person. This price includes all transportation, except flights. It also includes English-speaking tour guides, food, all activities and all entry fees. If you would like lodging included for all nights on this tour, then the combined (transportation, tour guides, food, activities, entry fees and lodging) total would be $4,083 USD per person. This price is based on 2 per room and is offered to those booking at least 6 weeks in advance. Note that there is a $30 USD fee if paying by bank transfer or a 4.6 percent surcharge for payments made by credit card. We accept both forms of payment. We do not accept checks. Moving forward, to better understand your specific circumstances and wishes, and for us to accurately quote you, please tell us:

        1. How many persons in your party-including yourself-would be joining this tour? Solo travelers are welcomed, in case you were wondering.

        2. What is your age and the age of your travel companion(s), if applicable? Travel insurance is required for this tour and we cannot quote you without knowing your age.

        3. Would you be sharing the room with others in your group (e.g. a spouse, relative or friend) or do you want the room exclusive to you?

        4. Where would you be flying from (and back to)?

        5. On what date would you like to leave home?

        6. Would you like to extend the duration of this tour so you have some free days just to relax? If you have 1 extra day, then we recommend Ouro Preto. If you have 2, then we recommend 1 in Ouro Preto and 1 in Florianopolis.

        7. On a side note, it takes a good 7 full days to see all the worthwhile attractions in Rio de Janeiro, but of course, few people have that sort of time. If you would like to extend this 11-day tour specifically so our tour guides could take you to more of Rio de Janeiro’s famous attractions, then for how many days would you like to have a private tour guide? This 11-day tour already includes 2 days with a private tour guide.

        8. Also, would you-and the others in your party if applicable-like to handglide over Rio de Janeiro? Note that this specific activity is optional and is not included in the standard price. Adding hand-gliding over Rio de Janeiro will increase the duration of this 11-day tour by 1 day.

        9. Also, would you like to extend this 11-day tour so you can add Bonito and Pantanal (officially Pantanal Matogrossense National Park)? If you first arrive in Brazil on a Saturday, then this would add 3 days to our standard 11-day tour and your first destination would be the city of Foz do Iguaçu. Arriving on a Saturday is ideal, as you wouldn’t need to deal with flying from Bonito to Foz do Iguaçu. There is a long layover in the city of Sao Paulo. Plan B would be to first arrive in Brazil on a Monday or Friday. This would add 4 days to our standard 11-day tour and your first destination would be Sao Paulo. Bonito is Brazil’s ecotourism hub. The surrounding area is known for its caves and for crystal-clear rivers. Pantanal is the world's largest tropical wetland area. It is also home to the world's largest flooded grasslands. Along with exploring the area by boat, we go on a 4x4 safari. Animals commonly spotted are jaguars, lowland tapirs, giant anteaters, deer, caimans, black howler monkeys and southern tamanduas.

        10. Not least, Ilhabela ranks among Brazil’s prettiest islands. The challenge is reaching it. Ilhabela Island is best reached through Sao Paulo, via a 3-hour bus ride. You would need 2 full days to explore the island, meaning this excludes the day of arrival and departure. Would you like to add Ilhabela Island?

        11. On a final note, would you like to extend this 11-day tour by 3 days so you can visit the island of Fernando de Noronha? There is a direct flight to there from Sao Paulo. The reason why Fernando de Noronha is not automatically included is because it is more of a ‘special interest’ kind of destination. Even though there is a handful of attractions which make this island nice, ultimately it is best suited for families looking for relaxation and otherwise for those who like surfing.

        What’s Excluded in the Price?

Any airfare, alcohol, travel insurance, any government-imposed visa fees and anything not mentioned in the itinerary

Although airfare is not included in the price, we will find you the exact flights you need. Just ask.

Are Domestic Flights Needed for This Tour?

Below are the domestic flights needed for this tour:

Day 1: São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro to Foz do Iguaçu

Day 3: Foz do Iguaçu to Florianopolis

Day 6: Florianopolis to Belo Horizonte

Day 7: Belo Horizonte to Rio de Janeiro

After booking our tour package, we would send you screenshots of what you need to purchase (airlines, flight number and date) and you would then book directly with the carrier. Never book airfare through a third party and always ensure your airfare type allows for changes or cancellation without penality. Does CharlieTheTraveler book airfare on customers' behalf? Although we recommend you do so directly to save money, yes we do offer this service, after the initial booking is made.

At What Specific Hotels Would We Be Staying?

Below are the names of the hotels where we commonly have our customers stay. Note this is subject to availability.

Nights 1-2: Foz do Iguaçu, Preferred Accommodation: Bourbon Resort or Mabu Thermas Grand Resort

Nights 3-5: Florianopolis, Preferred Accommodation: LK Design Hotel or Novotel

Night 6: Ouro Preto, Preferred Accommodation: Pousada do Mondego or Pousada Clássica

Nights 7-10: Rio de Janeiro, Preferred Accommodation: Miramar Hotel by Windsor or JW Marriott Hotel or Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana

*For those who need a ‘pre-tour’ night of lodging in Sao Paolo, our preferred hotel there is Hotel Contemporâneo.

Is This a Private or Group Tour?

Although most activities on this multi-day tour are shared with other travelers, we can make the trip almost completely private, per your request, at an additional cost. Typically, exploring the island of Santa Catarina and sightseeing in Mariana and Ouro Preto are the only activities exclusive to you and whomever else you may book on behalf of.

*Note that you are not with the same travelers and tour guides throughout your trip. Instead, you usually meet and engage with new people.

Am I Sharing the Room with Someone?

Your room is exclusive to you and whomever is in your party. Strangers (meaning customers who book on the same start date but do not know each other) do not share rooms on this tour. On a side note, please let us know if you and the other person(s) in your booking want separate rooms.

What is the Age Range & Nationality of the People Who Book This Tour?

Although we get customers of all ages and from several countries, our statistics show most people who book are 30 to 65 years old and from USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Are Kids Allowed on This Tour & Are They Charged the Same as Adults?

We welcome your kids specifically and only when the tour is exclusive to you and your group-meaning other customers are not joining you. We define kids as anyone under 18 years old. In order to make the tour exclusive to you and your group, your booking would need to be for 4 persons or more for any of our tours except Iceland. For our Iceland tour, your booking would need to be for 8 persons or more. Regarding the cost of bringing a non-adult, we do deduct from the total based on the amount of activities you request we remove from the tour. Note that reducing the total price of the tour by removing activities is something offered for non-adults only. Adults can opt out of activities but the total price does not change.

How Strong Do I Need to Be For This Trip?

We do not expect you to be an Olympic champion. We know some of the tour members are more fit than others…and we are well prepared for this. However, we do hope you take into consideration this is a very active tour, just like every other tour we offer.

Are Disabled People Allowed on This Tour?

Please let us know about any disability you have. Some disabilities would not affect you taking this tour. Others would prevent you from joining altogether. Although we want all of our customers to have fun, your safety is our first priority.

Do I Get Any Free Time to Myself?

Of course. Once each day’s tour is over, you have the rest of the evening to yourself. Because our tours tend to be very active, our customers typically want to simply relax once the sun sets.

What Happens If I Arrive Late?

Notify us as soon as possible and we will do our very best to arrange a meeting point. Please note that we do not refund for any days or activities that you miss.

Can I Opt-Out of Certain Activities?

Generally speaking, you can opt out as long as we are given adequate notice. Please note that opting out of certain activities does not reduce the price of this tour.

What Happens If I Get Injured on This Trip & Cannot Continue?

We would do our best to keep you safe and make you as comfortable as possible, as well as make special arrangements to address your situation. Partial refunds are not offered if you cannot continue with the tour. However, most travel insurances reimburse you for such situations. This is one of many reasons why we require our customers to purchase travel insurance before taking this tour.

What Happens If I Cancel This Trip?

To confirm your tour, full payment is needed at the time of your purchase. However, refunds are offered. You will receive a full refund if canceling at least 91 days in advance from the departure date. Cancelling between 90-60 days prior to departure entitles you to a 50 percent refund. Cancelling between 59-31 days prior to departure entitles you to a 25 percent refund. Canceling 30 days or less prior to departure is not eligible for a refund. Cancellation requests need to be made by email and become effective on the date received by CharlieTheTraveler.

What Happens If You, CharlieTheTraveler, Cancel This Trip?

In the unlikely event CharlieTheTraveler needs to cancel this trip, such as because of very poor weather conditions, we will give you a full refund for the tour within 14 business days of the cancellation. Note: We are not a participant in the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund, nor is this transaction covered by the Restitution Fund.

How Do You Help Prepare Us For This Trip?

You should receive an email from us within 24 hours of purchasing this tour as well as a week before departure. The first email gives details about what to bring, how to prepare yourself, etc. The second email is more like a timetable combined with important contact information.

Is There Anything Out of the Ordinary I Should Bring on This Trip?

Your phone should have an attached string or wrist wrap which latches onto your belt while you are out in public (to deter pickpockets). Also, bring a lockable waterproof backpack (to bring onto the boat), a waterproof case for your identification card and credit cards (when swimming) and water shoes. If you plan on going hand gliding, then bring a strap for your sunglasses, to wrap around your head while in the air. Lastly, you may need to bring adapters for your electronic devices.

Are the Tour Guides Licensed & Will They Be With Me the Entire Time?

Our tour guides/drivers are licensed, speak English and know how to bring excitement to your day. What we deliver is the complete opposite of the cookie-cutting tours the big corporations offer, leaving you in complete boredom. Although our tour guides/drivers are attentive, accommodating and engaged, they also know when to give you your private space and free time. It's a perfect balance.

In Which Language(s) is This Tour Offered?

All of our private tours are offered in English. If you prefer another language, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Note we cannot guarantee the shared tours will be provided in any language other than in Portuguese.

Do We Need to Get Our Own Transportation to and From the Airport?

Absolutely not. We make the arrangements for you.

Is Someone Available for Us 24-7 While on This Tour?

Yes! You have your own concierge for this tour who is at your disposal. You could reach this person when you need anything.
