Day 1: Several Beaches, a Water Blow Cliff & a Sunset Dinner Almost on the Water
We need your arrival information because you will be picked up at the Ngurah Rai International Airport. Please ensure your flight arrives by no later than 10:00am. If this is not possible, then we recommend you sleep near to the airport your day of arrival and simply start this tour the following morning. We could pick you up from whichever hotel you book at, as long as it is near to the airport.
Why all this? Although the town of Ubud-where we are based for all but one night while on this 7-day tour-is a 1.5-hour drive away from the airport, we are not heading there directly. Instead, we first visit Padang Padang Beach, then Suluban Beach, then Uluwatu Temple, then Pandawa Beach, then Water Blow Cliff and finally a fishing village called Jimbaran. All of these destinations are relatively near to the international airport.
Padang Padang Beach is a great first impression of the island. Uluwatu Temple is home to a tribal dance called Kecak. Hopefully there will be an event taking place during our visit. Note that the temple is inhabited by monkeys, who are notorious for snatching visitors’ belongings. They can usually be persuaded into trading the items for fruit. Water Blow is where large waves of sea water from the Indian Ocean continually crash against jagged limestone edges of a cliff. The water blow is the outcome of the narrowing crag below the cliff face that channels a surge of water up to 30 meters high from its base following strong currents. This phenomenon results in giant, irregular splashes of wave that can reach several meters high. The area provides a 240-degree lookout of dramatic seascape that is bordered by guardrails.
Jimbaran is perfect for a sunset dinner on the beach, which is included on today's tour. Visiting Jimbaran before sunset is ‘a must’, seeing dozens of restaurants, tables and food lined up along the beach. We should be arriving in Ubud around 9:00pm.
Day 2: Cooking Class, Dinner in a Native's Home, Waterfalls & Ancient Temples
We are starting our day at the Tegenungan Waterfall, followed by visiting Goa Gajah (a.k.a. Elephant Cave). We then check out a temple complex called Gunung Kawi. Afterwards, we visit Tirta Empul Temple. Following the tour, we are taken to a native Balinese's home. There we watch how traditional food is prepared as well as have dinner. The combination of tasty cuisine, rich culture and good company creates an unforgettable experience.
Day 3: Traditional Countryside Living & Holy Sites
First on our agenda for today are the temples of Pura Puseh and Pura Dasar in the village of Batuan. Next is the Pura Taman Ayun Temple followed by the rice fields in Jatiluwih. Our final destination is the Tanah Lot Temple.
Day 4: Hot Springs, More Waterfalls & a Famous Temple
Although we are relocating from Ubud to the village of Munduk, there are several attractions to visit en route. First is the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Temple. Next is Gitgit Waterfall. Afterwards, we check out a hot spring in the town of Banjar. The last destination for today is Munduk Waterfall.
Day 5: Postcard Perfect Rice Terraces, Spiritual Centers & Another Waterfall
Although we are relocating from the village of Munduk back to Ubud, there are several attractions to visit en route. The first destination is Sekumpul Waterfall. Next is Jagaraga Temple. Afterwards, we visit Pura Meduwe Karang Temple. The last attraction we see today are the Tegallalang Rice Terraces.
Day 6: Hiking Mount Batur to Watch the Sunrise, Exploring Ubud Town & Breathtaking Nature
Our day starts very early, as we hike up Mount Batur. Watching the sunrise from atop is an unforgettable moment. We then visit Pura Ulun Danu Batur Temple followed by the Mother Temple of Besakih. Afterwards, we check out the landscape surrounding both Iseh and Sidemen. Finally for today is exploring the town of Ubud itself. One of Bali’s major arts and culture centers, Ubud has developed a large tourism industry. One of the attractions in town we visit is the monkey forest.
Day 7: Our Tour Ends This Morning
Our tour ends today. Transportation will be arranged for you to reach the airport.
I could not believe how great my tour guide made my experience. He was personable and knew when to give me space on excursions. He was always on time to activities and handled every minute with professionalism but also had fun.
What an unforgettable experience that was, meaning my tour to Bali with CharlieTheTraveler. I don’t remember the last time I was that happy in my life. The trip was so authentic and organized. I also like how our group interacted with the tour guide. He was informal but professional at the same time. I felt safe and comfortable with him.
CharlieTheTraveler’s tour to Bali was the first time I went on a group tour. I later went on another group tour to Thailand with a completely different company. There really is no comparison. CharlieTheTraveler’s tour was designed and delivered so conveniently for us, knowing we would see and do it all. I also felt very protected while on CharlieTheTraveler’s tour. I hope to take another one of CharlieTheTraveler’s tours soon.
What my tour group and I saw and did on CharlieTheTraveler’s 7-day tour of Bali Island is more than most companies would show its customers in double that time. We spent just a perfect amount of time at each place, not too little and not too much. I also appreciate how the tour guide ensured we didn’t get ripped off by the locals who were trying to sell us stuff outside of the main tourist attractions.
CharlieTheTraveler planned out the logistics perfectly. We didn’t even need to change hotels. We stayed at a really nice one in Ubud and simply made daytrips each day. Not having to check in, unpack, pack, checkout and go to another hotel to do the same thing over really saved me a lot of energy-plus it saved the group a lot of time. CharlieTheTraveler really knows how to operate this tour throughout Bali Island.
First and foremost, CharlieTheTraveler’s tour to Bali made me feel safe. Secondly, it made me feel immersed in local culture. I do feel I saw all of the ‘must-see’ attractions and did all of the ‘must-see’ activities. I am glad CharlieTheTraveler didn’t leave out anything worthwhile.
CharlieTheTraveler’s tour to Bali was so incredibly well-prepared and stress-free. The tour guide was also great: leaderlike but equally humble, smart and exciting. He spoke to us like family. He went so out of his way for us. I am very grateful for the tour guide and the wonderful trip I took to Bali with CharlieTheTraveler.
There’s a reason why CharlieTheTraveler mostly does small groups (around 6 persons). The feeling is much more authentic and personalized. This was, at least, how I felt when I went on the company’s tour of Bali. Each and every one of us were highly engaged in the activities. I loved the fact I didn’t have to worry about anything. Everything was given to us ‘on a silver platter’, so to speak, from choosing the right hotels to the right tour guide to the right places to visit to the logistics, etc. I highly recommend CharlieTheTraveler’s tours.
This was a very personalized tour. It felt like we were treated like family rather than just more tour group members. The fact the size of the group was only 6 persons was a good thing. Unlike with big groups, we didn’t waste time trying to round up everyone. The 3 best words to describe CharlieTheTraveler’s tour to Bali are exciting, organized and authentic. We were not taken to even 1 tacky souvenir shop or touristy restaurant.
The schedule was optimized to perfection. CharlieTheTraveler knows just the right amount of time to spend at each destination. The company also knows the logistics as well as to not forget any important places to see. I also like how the company does not make the tour groups too big. My tour group consisted of only 5 people. The tour guide knew his stuff, was pretty funny and bent over backwards to accommodate each and every one of us.
I did CharlieTheTraveler’s Bali tour. The hotels were great-the rooms, locations and breakfasts alike. The tour guide was very passionate about what he does and showed us Bali in a very exciting way. He knew we were there to have a good time and he made sure we had just that.
The company CharlieTheTraveler is incredibly well organized and ensures you see and do it all and are never bored. Actually, there was not a second of boredom during my time with the group tour. It was exciting the whole way through. The group tour did not at all feel like the prepackaged scripted tours you find elsewhere. It was very authentic.
Tina Bailey & Chris James
All of us tour group members were treated like important people. The price I paid for this tour was worth it. The hotel was great. The breakfasts were great. The van we used to explore the island was nice and safe. The tour guide was cool. I have nothing but nice things to say about CharlieTheTraveler’s tour to Bali. It was definitely one of the best tours I ever did in my life.
From the start, my expectations of the Bali trip were surpassed. Everything was amazing, from the accommodations, provided meals, our interactive tour guide, and the transportation to and from destinations. I enjoyed how friendly the locals were in the areas we visited. We were also brought to interesting sites and views of nature I have only dreamt of. CharlieTheTraveler did just a great job organizing everything!
A tour guide can really make or break your experience and in my case, my tour guide made my experience great. He is a smart guy. He knew when to give us our space. He knew when to engage with us. I really cannot say enough nice things about him: punctual, professional and personable all at once.
After extensive research on group tours that visited Bali, I ultimately went with CharlieTheTraveler for many reasons. I felt this company had the most to offer in experience with traveling. I am happy I booked through them, as I was given the best service while on this trip.
I truly believe no other touring company can compare to CharlieTheTraveler. This was my third tour taken with the company and although all of them surpassed my expectations, this one might have become my favorite (so far!). The entire experience was 5-star service, holding true to the company’s claims. The hotel was clean and in a good location and I enjoyed the authentic breakfasts that were provided.
The time allotted for the tour and each individual trip was idea. I felt like I was able to do everything without having to wait around or be pushed to move on before I was ready. I knew what to pack for each day trip and what the day was going to look like thanks to my tour guide. I also commend him for knowing the area so well and being my go-to guy for meal recommendations for authentic dinners. I highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
There is a lot of passion behind CharlieTheTraveler’s tour to Bali, as there is a lot of passion behind our then-tour guide. I think he was just as excited as we were. We bonded very quickly. He was just an incredibly humble guy who wanted us to have a lot of fun. He knows his job for sure, very good at it. The tour itself was top notch. There really isn’t anything I could criticize. I had a fantastic time.
I was impressed with everything on this trip. The tour guide provided by CharlieTheTraveler was knowledgeable and never got stumped by our group’s questions. The meals provided were delicious and a great start to the day. The transportation for each day trip was comfortable and safe, which was important for long commutes. Everything that the company planned for and organized was perfect!
From day one to day seven, I was impressed by everything CharlieTheTraveler planned for this Bali trip. It was great for me to see a group of strangers become friends while we all participated in every day trip. Our tour guide might have been the best part of my trip, as I couldn’t imagine my trip without him. Overall, I found the trip to be perfect for not only me, but for a diverse group as we had.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Much Does This Tour Cost?
Financing (monthly payments) is offered to most of our customers. Ask us for details. Our luxury-oriented and itinerary-packed “Bali in 7 Days” tour is available for $1,328 USD per person. This price includes all transportation, except flights. It also includes an English-speaking tour guide, food, all activities and all entry fees. If you would like typically 4-star lodging included for all nights on this tour, then the combined (transportation, tour guide, food, activities, entry fees and lodging) total would be $1,658 USD per person. This price is based on 2 per room and is offered to those booking at least 6 weeks in advance. To better understand your specific circumstances and wishes, and for us to accurately quote you, please tell us: least 6 weeks in advance. To better understand your specific circumstances and wishes, and for us to accurately quote you, please tell us:
1. Specifically in the town of Ubud, would you like to keep the 4-star lodging we typically offer or do you prefer upgrading to a 5-star hotel?
2. How many persons in your party-including yourself-would be joining this tour?
3. Do you prefer this tour to be private/exclusive to you or would you like to share it with other travelers?
4. Would you be sharing the room with others in your group (e.g. a spouse, relative or friend) or do you want the room exclusive to you?
5. Do you know on which date you would like to start this tour?
6. On a side note, would you like to add our 2-day tour of the island of Nusa Penida? It is only a 45-minute boat ride away from Bali. Nusa Penida is arguably the country’s most beautiful island. You would arrive in Bali and be taken as quickly as possible to Nusa Penida. You would spend 2 days there and then be taken back to Bali, where a 7-day tour awaits you. So, in total, this would be a 9-day tour-2 in Nusa Penida and 7 in Bali. The grand total per person for all transportation, entry fees and a private and English-speaking tour guide is $160 USD for 2 days. Let us know.
What’s Excluded in the Price?

How Strong Do I Need to Be For This Trip?

Of course. Once each day’s tour is over, you have the rest of the evening to yourself. Because our tours tend to be very active, our customers typically want to simply relax once the sun sets.

Notify us as soon as possible and we will do our very best to arrange a meeting point. Please note that we do not refund for any days or activities that you miss.
Can I Opt-Out of Certain Activities?
Generally speaking, you can opt out as long as we are given adequate notice. Please note that opting out of certain activities does not reduce the price of this tour.
What Happens If I Get Injured on This Trip & Cannot Continue?
We would do our best to keep you safe and make you as comfortable as possible, as well as make special arrangements to address your situation.
